hodge kündigt sein erstes album an

nach über zwanzig singles in acht jahren veröffentlicht hodge (jacob martin) sein debut-album ‚shadows in blue‚ am 17. april 2020 auf houndstooth. der produzent aus bristol liess sich dabei von vielfältigen einflüssen inspirieren, darunter science fiction-bücher, rave-besuche, prog-rock-covers und seine neue leidenschaft für pflanzen und gartenarbeiten.

groove, das deutsche magazin für elektronische musik, hat in der neuesten ausgabe seines hochkarätigen podcasts hodge zu gast. der produzent, dj und gesuchte kollaborator aus bristol liefert hier in einer guten stunde eine breite, wundervoll kuratierte und gemixte auswahl seiner ganz individuellen soundpalette: stolperne bassdrums, knatternde perkussion und oft roh wirkende synths verbinden sich zu hochgradig tanzbarem und erstaunlich organisch klingendem techno. einiges an unreleastem material wird gespielt und auch seine stammlabels berceuse heroique und livity sound sind gut vertreten und werden perfekt ergänzt von veröffentlichungen aus dem bristoler labeldunstkreis.
